Celebration Seven-Layer Salad: Kate's Quick Bites

Ingredients (from bottom to top)
- 1.5 head iceberg or romaine lettuce, chopped
- 2 cups firm tomatoes (like Roma or cherry) for best flavor and texture
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 鈥 1 1/2 cups sweet green peas
- 3/4 cup mayo
- 3/4 cup Ranch dressing
- 1 1/2 cup shredded cheeses (cheddar or colby jack or mozzarella)
- 3-4 eggs
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup. bacon bits
Assembly Tips
Use a clear glass bowl or trifle dish to show off the layers!
Lettuce: Rinsed, dried, and chopped (use a salad spinner for best results)
Adjust amount to fit your serving bowl 鈥 a little more than half a head for smaller bowls, full head for larger ones.
Diced Tomatoes, about 2 cups
Choose ripe, firm tomatoes (like Roma or cherry) for best flavor and texture.
Shredded Carrots: Adds color and crunch.
Sweet Green Peas
1 to 1陆 cups Frozen peas work best 鈥 no need to cook, just thaw and pat dry.
Creamy Layer (the 鈥渟eal鈥)
Spread gently across the top to 鈥渟eal in鈥 the freshness.
Shredded Cheese
About 1陆 cups, Cheddar is classic, but feel free to mix in Colby Jack or mozzarella.
Chopped Eggs - 3鈥4 hard-boiled eggs, chopped or sliced
Bacon Bits
1/2 to 3/4 cup Real bacon bits or freshly cooked and crumbled bacon.
Chill for at least 2鈥3 hours (or overnight) for best flavor and texture.
Serve with a large spoon that reaches all layers.
