It鈥檚 an empty statewide ballot this Election Day, while Columbus voters will pick four members for both city council and the school board. Tuesday also brings a choice, albeit a limited one, for Columbus mayor.
In the city council races, three members of the progressive activist group are challenging from the left. There鈥檚 also an vying for a spot.
Five people are running for four seats on the Columbus Board of Education. They include incumbents Jennifer Adair and Eric Brown, and challengers Carol Beckerle and Tina Pierce. All four are endorsed by the Franklin County Democratic Party. The fifth candidate, Kimberly Mason, is endorsed by Yes We Can.
Mayor Andrew Ginther is technically up for reelection Tuesday, but he鈥檚 running unopposed.
Franklin County voters will cast ballots on a Children鈥檚 Services levy. It would renew the current levy that taxes homeowners about $84 a year for every $100,000 of home value.
Franklin County voters will also pick an Environmental Court judge and two Municipal Court judges. The municipal judge races include incumbent Amy Salerno, who has by the Ohio Supreme Court.
