During Tuesday's testimony in the murder trial of former Mount Carmel doctor William Husel, Dr. John Walther Schweiger, a Tampa anesthesiologist and critical care physician continued to question the lack of ample documentation of medication and response during care of Husel鈥檚 patients.
Schweiger criticized Husel鈥檚 oversight and dosage of painkillers for 74-year old Danny Mollette who died after receiving 1,000 micrograms of fentanyl in December 2017.
鈥淭here was no description in the medical record that would have indicated a need for high doses or the multiple administration of medications' said Schweiger. "In this case, he received two separate narcotics or opioids, the fentanyl, and dilaudid, but then the additional fentanyl.鈥
Husel isby over-prescribing painkillers. to all charges.
