The family of George Floyd gathered last month with hundreds in Minneapolis to mark the first anniversary of his death at the knee of former police officer Derek Chauvin.
In April, Chauvin was found guilty of Floyd’s murder and activists said it was a rare instance of accountability for police. Aside from that, concrete examples of change remain illusive.
