Cleveland Browns Stadium during an NFL football game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Cleveland Browns, Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023, in Cleveland.

It seems everyone has an opinion on what happens to the Cleveland Browns’ stadium.

First, there was the debate over whether the team should move at all from its current home to suburban Brook Park. Now, the debate centers on who should pay for it.

Should the public pick up part of the tab when the owners are multi-billionaires? Backers say it’s not just a football stadium, but an entertainment complex that will re-energize the entire region. But at what cost?

It’s not just the Browns who want a handout. The Bengals want one too. Who will be next?
