Fascinating Ohio: an advocate for Kenya, a grief adviser and apraxia awareness champions

Columbus-area native Elli Wachtman’s passion to help others took root at Capital University.

Her passion grew while pursuing a master’s degree in Washington D.C. and blossomed 7,000 miles away in Kenya at a center she co-founded there.

When Jess Laughlin’s father died, she wasn’t sure what to do with all the feelings that came from that loss. She launched Good Grief as a way to help herself and others heal.

We’re talking with two women, a speech language pathologist and a parent, who are raising awareness for a neurological speech disorder that’s afflicting a growing number of children.

Guests:

  • Elli Wachtman, co-founder,
  • Jess Laughlin, owner/founder, Good Grief Project by
  • Jen Withee, speech language pathologist/co-coordinator,
  • Jennifer Stanich, co-coordinator,
