Huntington said Monday that once the deal closes it will become the No. 1 bank in Mississippi and a top 10 bank in both Alabama and Arkansas by deposits. The transaction will also give it a foothold in high-growth markets such as Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Atlanta, Nashville, Orlando and Tampa.

The team has struck a deal with Huntington Bank for naming rights of the current venue Downtown – or a new one in Brook Park if it decides to build a stadium there.

The 12-story Huntington Bank Building on South High Street next to the bank's headquarters, the 11-story Wyandotte and the 12-story Huntington Plaza Building on West Broad Street are all being offered in the sale.
